Quite a few homeowners have chosen to do some home improvements projects in anticipation of selling or making their environment more comfortable for themselves. With that in mind, let’s talk about frugally updating your living environment. This is Part I of a three part series and today’s post is about your kitchen.

A quick and inexpensive way to update your kitchen is to paint and/or change cabinet hardware. There are some Knobs and Hardware Coupons to help you do just that. Currently, my cabinetry doesn’t have knobs, but they’re easy enough to install and will definitely add style.

You can also add up-to-date lighting to highlight an area, showcase a special piece or simply shed light on your counters. I, for one, would love to have some track lighting above my sink especially since it’s below a cabinet and not a window.
