Part III Home improvements: Kids’ rooms
When my oldest daughter was about 5 years old I surprised her with a “big girl bed” and some “grown up” posters. She’s now 18 years old and I have the same desire for her younger siblings: To makeover their rooms.
Our home isn’t really conducive to everyone having their own rooms, but that doesn’t stop me from planning. My idea is to center their room themes around their pet names. For instance, my oldest daughter is my butterfly, my son is a lion, my second daughter is my sunflower and the baby is ladybug.
If the two younger girls share a room I would want their walls to look like a field of sunflowers with ladybugs flying about and resting on the flowers. There would be a beautiful blue sky with fluffy white clouds and all the furnishings and bedding would accent that theme.
