Let there be light
When you own a home there’s always something that needs to be done. It could be as simple as maintaining the yard and keeping your living space clean or as major as remodeling your kitchen and having the rough replaced.
Between the big and small tasks are, of course, those in the middle like decorating and organization. Sometimes we forget that decorating can include the lighting that we use in each room. Lighting can be decorative as well as functional. In my home, lighting is definitely something that needs to be improved.
For instance, in my home office there aren’t any windows so there are four lights: a floor lamp, two table lamps and a desk lamp. They don’t shed as much light as I would like especially when the bulb wattage is low.
I was browsing 1 Stop Lighting coupons just to get an idea of the type of lights that would work in the office. I already know I need a light kit on the ceiling fan in the living room as well as a couple of floor lamps or stylish wall sconces. I could also stand some sconces or bedside lamps in the my bedroom as well… but I’ll just think about one thing at a time for now.
The regular fluorescent lighting, regardless of shape, doesn’t fit this space and I’m not sure about the recessed lighting. What type of lighting do you have in your home? Maybe it’s time to update yours as well. You know, shed some new light.
