Caring for children

children's motrinWhen I left the house this morning to take one of my children to school, I planned to stop at the drugstore to pick up some Motrin for my youngest daughter who has strep throat. Halfway there I remembered that I didn’t have a coupon. Drat! Shopping without using a coupon is a true waste of money… in my humble opinion.

With three young children – four in total – it’s sometimes difficult to keep medicines on hand, but I wish I had ordered a supply from Drugstore.com. I would have been able to get what I need for my children as well as take advantage of the Drugstore coupon offering up to 70 percent off clearance items.

I can also stock up at Walgreens, which is listing a coupon for free shipping on orders $50 and more. After buying tissues, toilet paper, a humidifier and other cold and flu season necessities, I’m sure I will have spent $50 to get the free shipping.

When my children are sick there is little I can do to help besides taking them to the pediatrician, administering medications and trying to make them comfortable. (Today’s patient has squeezed into the space between my body and the back of the couch.) The one last thing is ensuring I continue to make smart buying decisions and save money by using all the available coupons – especially those available here at Super Amazing Savings.
