Getaway plan
Me and one of my best-est friends have talked about running away from home. No, we’re not teenagers rebelling against our parents’ restrictive and unreasonable rules, we’re moms who could use a break. We’ve talked about grabbing a duffel bag and a stick with a kerchief dangling from the tip and just hopping on the closest bus to Anywhere But Here.
The thought of picking up and going on a loooonnggg adventure with minimal responsibilities is so appealing. Then I thought that we may want to have a secret escape route planned with scheduled (and comfortable!) stops. I don’t think I’d do well squatting in front of a little fire at a makeshift campsite, peeling off bug skin and inspecting berries for potential dangers. Not to mention the threat of random, hungry critters.
Of course those thoughts directed me right to travel and tourism coupons. I was also thinking that a duffel and a stick with a kerchief isn’t necessarily the look I’m going for so some new luggage is in order.
