Clear the air
Happy day after Thanksgiving. Today I expected to do a lot of relaxing and a little bit of working. I wanted to stay at home in my lounging clothes and enjoy my children, but there was a little kink in my plan.
My youngest daughter has been sick for about two days. She started off coughing then developed a fever that I couldn’t get to break. After watching her sleep and lay around all day (very odd for a 2-year-old child who never sits still), I took her to the urgent care facility because her pediatrician’s office was closed.
I’m glad I did because she has strep throat. Again. It’s only been about three weeks since the last episode and now I am trying to figure out things I can do to keep germs at bay. To be the child who’s home the most – whereas the other children go to school – she’s the one who is sick the most.
Today I looked at Compact Appliance coupons because I’m considering getting an air purifier. I was surprised at how many different versions and sizes there are as well as the wide range of prices. What surprised me the most was the two cute personal ones that were shaped like a penguin and a shark. One of those may encourage my children to play with it, but getting a purifier is definitely a good idea.
