Death of a laptop
I’ve lovingly caressed it whenever I can. I’ve given it more attention than I’ve given anything else. Unfortunately. And I’ve been here for it through thick, thin and in between. Then it just dies on me. Betrays me.
My computer, God rest its circuit board, has decided to suffer a slow and untimely death.
I hate to speak ill of the dead: But I am so not happy about this development.
My lappy is how I make my bread and butter. And my jelly.
So, of course, I’ve put the word out on the street that I’m looking for a laptop on the low-low. I’ve gotten a few recommendations, none of which include someone giving me one for Christmas, and I’m researching all of my options. One such option is checking out the Microsoft Store coupons to see what types of deals they have going on. In fact, I’m sure I am not the only one in need of a new computer so this is a perfect place to check into for a Christmas gift for someone on your list. (HINT: They have PCs with free shipping.)
Microsoft has everything a girl will need to get the virtual operation going again, and I have to do it quickly before my daughter returns to college after the holiday season is over. I don’t think she’d take too kindly to me confiscating her laptop… Maybe I could hold it for ransom. You know, “Pay $750 or you’ll never see your laptop again.”
Maybe I’ll just lovingly caress hers and hope it chooses me over her. Worse case scenario: I’ll throw myself at her feet, cry, beg and slobber. Think it will work?
