It’s too cold to be without heat
If one more thing breaks down or stops working around my place I think I’m going to scream take a nap. (Screaming requires too much energy.) Not only is the thermostat out in my minivan, but the compressor thingy is breaking down. The result: Barely enough heat inside and outside. Didn’t these contraptions get the memo stating that it’s winter time?
Regardless of the facts that the mobile mechanic I have that continues not to come by when he says he will and the heating and air guy that I can’t get in touch with because he changed his number; I still have to get these jobs done. And I don’t want to spend a lot of money taking care of it.
Unfortunately, handymen including plumbers, heating and air technicians, mechanics, etc., have a terrible reputation of ripping people off. That’s why it’s often a good idea to get any parts needed and hire a private, smaller company to do the work if it’s something you can’t do yourself.
I have no experience with compressors or thermostats, but I do know enough to search around for good deals on the labor and parts. Right now Auto Parts Warehouse has quite a few offers including free shipping on center orders and percentages off others.
With a little Internet savvy and a great site like Super Amazing Savings, you can find what you need for a price that fits into your budget. Speaking of “need” and “budget,” if you know of a good and trustworthy mechanic and/or heating and air technician please leave a comment and let me know.
