Ms. Fix It

I have been waiting on the mobile mechanic for hours. When I first spoke to him yesterday he said replacing the pads and rotors on my van this afternoon would work for him. This morning I followed up and confirmed then around 11 a.m. or so he said he would arrive in 30 minutes. That was hours ago. That, of course, led me to some of my craziest thoughts including I should learn auto mechanics in order to repair my own vehicle.

What? I so could!

Today, I went to the auto parts store to purchase brake pads for the rear tires and a rotor for the front left. The man who waited on me asked me a couple of questions that I couldn’t remember the answer to so I had to get the mechanic on the phone. That was a little frustrating because I pride myself on being pretty knowledgeable about my vehicle.

I could get big savings from US Auto Parts and take a class on auto mechanics, and keep my van in perfect condition. That would save a little money, don’t you think? The auto parts warehouse carries everything I would need including headlights, lighting, brakes, steering parts, tools, etc.

If you’re laughing at me right now, that’s okay; I can take it.  I know it seems like a far fetched idea, but it’s better than the roof repairing company I thought of when I realized I need to get my roof replaced.
