War against technology
For the past two years or so almost every piece of technology I own has gone against me. About two years ago a television died. After almost six months or so it was replaced with a very nice, large television that I bought through a popular website from a nice couple. It lasted a little less than a year before the picture tube died. We were without a television for several months when a friend of the family found out and gave us an old set he and his wife weren’t using. That set lasted about … a year. (OMG, I see a trend here.) I don’t know what’s wrong with it, but I think it’s the picture tube. AGAIN. The picture will go gray and then pop back in. Well, today it didn’t pop in and it didn’t respond to the light tap I gave it. I figured since that worked yesterday it would work today as well. Ahem.
Once again, I need a new television (In fact, I’m about to watch a movie on the laptop.) and I would like to purchase a flat screen HDTV with all the fixings. RadioShack has a deal to save $50 on the AOC® L32W LCD HDTV, but I have my eye on a Panasonic® TC-L32C22 32″ LCD TV that I saw on their site.
But before I get the television situation handled, I have to figure out what to do with the washing machine that won’t spin and the cell phone that stopped answering calls waiting. It’s like a bad movie where technology turns against the world me!
