Beauty of making music, saving money

My nephew, who’s now 21 years old, did all kinds of things when he was in elementary, middle and high school. He played just about every sport and he played the violin for quite a few years. I think keeping children busy in extra curricular activities is very good because it helps to build discipline and the ability to work with others. When children add an instrument to their “to do” list they often excel at math as well as gain those other positive characteristics.

Even though it’s the middle of the summer it’s still a good time to gauge your child’s interest in a musical instrument. You may be able to find a great deal, since it isn’t really the “season” for buying, if they express a desire to play. There are a couple of Woodwind & Brasswind deals going on right now to get up to 75 percent off an outlet order or you can take care of the Spring cleaning sale. There are a couple of other deals as well.

If you’re hesitant to make that commitment right now let me give you a little incentive: Since it’s the summertime the budding musician could go practice at the grandparent’s home or you can go for a stroll while they make beautiful music. This way you say money, build a love of music and the arts as well as give your child something constructive to do.

What do you say; ready to hear the music?
