Save on journals
I have a confession to make. I’m addicted to journals. I think it started when I was a child of about 10 years old because my brother gave me a journal for my 10th birthday. Well, back then it was a diary (and it had a lock). I wrote all of my important memories and events in that diary including who I was in love with that week and what color nail polish I wore.
Over the years I’ve bought journals, which I’ve used everyday as my planners. I’ve purchased journals with velvet covers, painted on flowers, magnetic closures and ribbon bookmarks. I’ve used them to write poetry, notes, to do lists, shopping lists and to keep pregnancy journals and ideas. I even keep a stash of journals. I have to make myself resist purchasing a journal or notebook when I see one on sale by systematically thinking through exactly what I would use it for. Especially since my actual journal-writing habit has abated some.
With an addiction like this one it’s best to find a journal or notebook on sale or for a great deal. A journal lover could easily spend $50 on a leather-bound journal, but that’s an expense that will probably be regrettable. To get something a little more reasonable and a lot more personable check out the CardStore.com deal where you can get 10 percent off. They have the most adorable personalized journals and that made me I think I need a new journal…
