What is that noise?
My youngest child – a girl – is the sweetest, most petite, funniest miniature human in the world. And she can be the loudest. How does a 3 year old, who’s the size of a 1 year old, make so much noise and become so annoying when she screams and cries that my ears ring and my brain hurts? I don’t have the answer to that question, but I do have a solution for blocking out the noise.
Earphone or earplugs.
Some would say, “That’s terrible.” But I say, “That’s smart.” The alternative is me screaming like a banchee on fire while running around the house pulling my hair out. I figured plugging my ears is the better choice because it avoids scaring all of the children, causing them to need intense therapy in their later years and forcing the neighbors to call child protective services.
And there’s another adult in the house so I don’t have to worry about anyone getting hurt while I tune out.
I was delighted to see that there’s a Convenient Gadget deal for 25 percent off their Headphone Beanie. I’m convinced that the extra cushion of the beanie will keep even more sound out. They also have a reasonably priced Stone Necklace MP3 player that’s stylish and functional. Either of these choices is a stylish and inexpensive solution, and instead of covering my ears and wishing for quiet I can enjoy the sweet sounds of music.
What’s that noise? Oh, I don’t hear a thing.
