‘Like a virgin…’
… I bet you thought I was going to continue with the song, right? Well, I fooled you. I know it may be inappropriate, but those three words from Madonna’s song of the same name also make me think of Mary from the Bible. Now before you start leaving all sorts of comments reprimanding me for my inference; please wait, because I do have a point.
Now that the holiday season is upon us (thus my thoughts of Mary), I’ve been noticing I’m a bit bored with the current selection of Christmas CDs. I’ve also noticed quite a few popular, and current, artists are making their own renditions of traditional Christmas songs as well as coming up with new ones. That, of course, led me to the thought of where would I find the type of songs I’m looking for and, finally, where a good deal would be hiding.
Believe it or not, I couldn’t find what I was looking for. But I did find something just as good and I know my children will love it: Musical instruments to make their own music.
My son has always been fascinated by drums – much to my dismay – and they all like to sing. I can just imagine the pleasure noise when listening to them perform their favorite holiday songs. The Music & Arts deals available now will make buying such costly items quite a bit easier.
Now instead of searching for Christmas music I like I can find it right in my own home … the music my children make. Yea… uh, right.
